Puppy-frogs and Butterflies.

Thursday, 28. October 2010 9:51

The coolest thing I’ve ever witnessed happened over the weekend. On Sunday I slept in late, as usual. When I woke up I sat in my recliner starting to wake up. Since our air conditioner broke last week, I just had the screen door closed. I noticed a butterfly fluttering outside, and my puppy, Bella, saw it too. From inside the house, she put her nose to the screen, watching it. The butterfly landed on the other side of the door, but on Bella’s nose. It stayed there for about four seconds, I’d never seen anything so amazing in my life! I wish I could’ve taken a picture. The next day I went swimming, there was a frog swimming around in the pool, I went up to the swimming frog and put my hand under him, I thought he might be stuck in the pool. He (or she) just sat in my hand, I waded around in the pool, but he just sat there. I truly felt like nature woman this week.

Friends, family and my honey-bunny

Tuesday, 26. October 2010 8:50

If I could have lunch with any three people It would be my mother, my husband and my elementary school friend, Tally. My mom lives about 2,000 miles away and I haven’t seen her in person in over a year, I can’t wait to see her again, we talk every night on the phone, but I really want to sit down and have lunch with her. I can’t stand to go anywhere without my husband, everything is just boring and uninteresting to me if he isn’t there to share and enjoy it with, so I’d force him to come along and endure lunch with his mother-in-law and my old friend. I haven’t seen Tally in about 3 years and she lives 800 miles away from me, we still chat by email and the occasional conversation on the phone, but I’d like to have her come to lunch and catch up in person. I just think there is something so amazing about connecting with people face to face, instead of through a computer screen.

Nothing like Raspberry Lemonade to wash down grilled delights.

Thursday, 21. October 2010 7:50

I love food, I love all kinds of food, I never used to eat seafood, but my husband convinced me to try crab and lobster, and since then there isn’t much I won’t eat! Its so hard to just choose one  that is my all time favorite. My all time favorite drink is raspberry lemonade. I love the sweet raspberry and tangy lemonade flavor, it goes great with any meal. I wish all restaurants would serve it. I don’t really like pop, so I always end up getting the lemonade or fruit punch and I feel childish. But when they have raspberry lemonade I feel sophisticated for some reason. My favorite food in the whole world is my husbands hamburgers. I like it best when he grills it on the smoker, but even in a frying pan, you’ve never tasted such a perfectly cooked burger. I like my burgers on a toasted bun with fresh tomato, lettuce, mayo there must be some Colby cheese melted on my burger. If only they sold raspberry lemonade by the barrel, I’d have it on tap at the house.

And they wonder why everyone thinks New Yorkers are rude.

Broadway show billboards at the corner of 7th ...

My family is just plain crazy. Growing up in New York City there are plenty of weirdos and psychos to go around, you think I’d be used to out of the ordinary by now. I think my family takes the cake on dysfunctional. No one really gets along, its like everyone was seriously just out to get everyone else, its like growing up in a middle school! My aunt would always talk about my mom behind her back – to me! And my cousins were all gremlins, my one cousin, Matt, hit his little sister with a shovel when she was three, and no one even cared. No one really cares about anyone else except for themselves. I think this was evident when the whole family was sitting outside talking, and my cousin, Mary, asked me to bring something inside for her, she tossed it to me, and I caught it, but, being the clumsy person I am, I tripped and fell down a couple of stairs, no one even noticed, except for my husband, who helped me up, not even Mary checked to see if the throw had followed through, no one even laughed! I think I would have preferred them laughing at me to them just plain ignoring me.

Fire safety is very important in the modern day world

Monday, 18. October 2010 5:10

Fires can easily destroy homes and lives in a matter of minutes. Make sure you protect yourself by using a variety of prevention methods, like a wet chemical fire extinguisher for home or fire blankets. It is advisable for every home to have a fire extinguisher or fire blanket, as fires can easily happen in the kitchen or due to faulty electrics. Always remember to test your fire alarm every week, to ensure it is working and to make sure it is keeping your family safe. Fire alarms and smoke detectors are available at all major stores, so there is no excuse for not having one fitted, it could save your life.

Fire Extinguishers

Thursday, 14. October 2010 7:14

Most of the fire accidents are happens due to the carelessness of the people and lack of small water fire extinguishers. We should be very conscious while using them. The main place where the fire accidents occur is in kitchen. Most of the people may use gas litters to switch on the gas-stove. While using it after switching on the gas-stove we used to use the litter. In the mean time there will be a leakage of gas. This may cause fire accidents. To avoid this situation we can use match sticks. Because we will fire the match sticks first and then we will switch on the gas-stove. This is a better way to avoid fire accidents in kitchen.

I’m just a jeans and Tshirt kind of gal

Thursday, 14. October 2010 5:44

My wardrobe is a cacophonous collection of clothing from the past six years. I mainly wear T-shirts with logos or prints on them, and I have about eight pairs of jeans, of which only three actually fit me, well two, but I make the squeeze with the last pair. I have some “fancy” tops and of course my wedding dress, not that I wear that on a regular basis. I don’t like to wear my pretty shirts a lot because I am a messy eater, I always manage to spill and splatter whenever I go out, even if we don’t eat anything, maybe I’m just a messy person. I have a couple of long flowing skirts, those are my favorite because they are so pretty, but I don’t wear them a lot because I am just most comfortable in jeans and a T-shirt. My all time favorite tee is one I got from Target the other day, it’s a black shirt and has a print of all the Super Mario Bros characters, including Yoshi, my favorite PTD (personal transport dinosaur).

Don’t be such a Yahoo!

Monday, 11. October 2010 4:43

Yahoo.com is the best e-mail service out there, and I’ve used my fair share of email hosts. When we first got internet my mom got AOL, after AOL I still used AIM, so I used the Netscape address that came with my AIM username. I’ve had to use Outlook at work, I’ve used Gmail, and of course MSN/Hotmail among several others. Yahoo is just the simplest to use, I like the way it looks, the layout of my mail and how easy it is to change fonts and colors, and add pictures. There are adds, but they are never creepy or annoying, I’ve never had one problem with my email. I can stay signed in all the time, I can instant message on Yahoo-messenger, I like to use Yahoo-answers and Yahoo-groups so it’s a quick click for me. I think my favorite part about Yahoo is the My-page, and the fact that I can click and drag the boxes with the news, my email, sports scores and my horoscope into any arrangement I want. I don’t think I’ll ever switch from Yahoo

Whatever you do, don’t laugh on a full bladder.

Thursday, 7. October 2010 3:40

The most embarrassing moment in my life also coincides with worst date I ever had. And worst of all it happened during high school. I got to go on a date with this cute boy and we went to the movies, I love movie popcorn and I got the combo with one of those industrial size drinks. I downed both the popcorn and drink before the movie was even halfway over, and I don’t think I even let the poor boy have a handful of the popcorn he’d paid for. Well I guess karma came to kick me in the butt for being so selfish. After the movie we went to the park to walk around and enjoy the afternoon, we started laughing and joking around. I started teasing him saying that he couldn’t lift me up if he tried, well, he tried. And succeeded, he started teasing me back and I started laughing, I couldn’t stop laughing, I realized I had to pee and tried to squirm out of his hold, but this just put more pressure on my bladder, and I had started to pee – on him. He dropped me right then and there and ran out of the park. Needless to say I was the pee-girl in school until I graduated. Describe the worst date you’ve ever had

Fun love and scary-laughs

I truly have the best husband in the entire world. I know everyone probably says that about their significant other, but my man is so amazing it astonishes me that he love me. If I had to choose just one thing about him that I love the most, it would probably be the way he goofs around with me. He’ll tickle me until I laugh so hard I almost pee, which makes him laugh, and I love to hear his laugh. Sometimes when he’s feeling “froggy,” as he calls it, when we go to bed, he won’t be in the bed, but I know he’s in the room, and then I start to get scared because its dark, and just when I least expect it he’ll jump up and grab my foot and I’ll scream at the top of my lungs every time, even though I know its coming.
