If a fire were left to burn with nothing around to stop it, it could burn down someone’s room, house or even their neighborhood. That’s why people should always keep a fire extinguisher on hand, along with safety fire blankets. With a fire extinguisher you can catch a fire in its beginning stages before it has a chance to spread and cause damage. According to the National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) almost 80% of fires are caused in and around our homes. Even if just a small amount of those homes had fire extinguishers it would make the public a much safer place.
