Intelligent and smart

Monday, 2. January 2012 1:41

What I like most about myself on the way I look would be that I am blessed with a cute face and a good look. I never have to be on a diet and I am active. I am always able to be energetic and to make other people laugh. It is fun to make people laugh and not to think of all the worst time in our lives. Sometimes I like to be philosophical on things and would offer my advice to friend who might needs help and asked for it. I am skinny and sometimes I think I should put on more weight but I like the way I look. It is who I am and I am not going to change who I am.

Not Exactly Working in a Coal Mine

Wednesday, 28. December 2011 8:37

I’ve had several different jobs. I’ve been a hostess, a senior-project manager, an antiques store clerk, an office manager, an executive assistant, a software trainer, a website designer, an Operations Liaison to the Sales Department, and a remote secretary. I think the jobs that I liked the most were as a senior project manager and a software trainer. The project management position was fun, and I got to interact with clients and employees a lot, a sort of management without pressure position. Software training can also be very rewarding, as it tends to be a different job with each client. You never know what their strengths and weaknesses as a company are until you get there.

Turkish Delighted

Saturday, 24. December 2011 7:37

I would travel to Turkey. I would love to see Istanbul & Ankara. There is such an awesome mix of Western & Eastern history there, I think it would be amazing. I’m huge Roma-phile, as well as fascinated with Islamic history, so I think Turkey would be pretty much amazing for me as a vacation. Being able to see the Hippodrome in Istanbul and some of the mosques is such an exciting thought. Not to mention, it’s a beautiful country with beautiful beaches and countrysides. Finally, I’m a huge fan of Turkish food, so honestly, it’s probably the first international destination on my list.

Bottle Caps

Do I even have one? I’m not sure. I guess most people don’t know anything about me though. But something even a lot of friends don’t know would probably be my bottlecap collection. I don’t show it to people very often because I realize that it’s not very interesting, or even deadly boring to anybody but me, but I enjoy sorting trough my caps, remembering where I got them and what that day was like. It’s really just a box full of bottle caps, not a fancy display or anything. I’m thinking of covering a table with them at some point, so they get to good use eventually.

Fire Safety is A Very Important Topic

Saturday, 17. December 2011 19:42

Fire safety is a very important topic to always be addressed to kids and parents alike. Being sure to have proper emergency exits in buildings, smoke detectors, fire extinguishers, can be the key to saving your home or work from a bad fire. Fire safety is most commonly taught in schools, but can also be taught in other places, as well. A common fire safety rule is “stop, drop & roll”. Most kids know that one by the time they are six years old, or so. In many places fire extinguishers must be present, due to building codes and other things.

The best thing about me?

Friday, 16. December 2011 5:31

I’m friendly. This doesn’t sound like much, but it’s very important to me. I would never swear at a waiter or something. I guess it’s important for me because my default facial expression is somewhat grumpy – since I was a child, people constantly have been asking me what I’m angry about, even if I was just thinking about happily dancing butterflies or something of the sort. So I go out of my way to prove that I’m seriously not evil! Physically, the best thing about me is that I’m tall – I can always get to the top shelf.

Highlight of the day

Tuesday, 13. December 2011 4:24

Dinner. I love food and think a lot about what I’m going to eat in the near future. I don’t care if it’s sweet or spicy, hearty or light – I love it all and enjoy a good meal more than anything. Well, almost anything. So writing my shopping list, coming up with what I want to eat, buying the ingredients…that’s all fun to me. And cooking, I love cooking and coming up with new recipes, or at least adding a twist to an existing one…I don’t care, I love it all. And then the eating, of course.  The washing up though…well, I’ll leave that to tomorrow.

Dorky? Who cares.

Thursday, 8. December 2011 3:24

Boardgame day! We invited over a bunch of friends, got drunk, and played a ton of board games. Also we ordered sushi. Perfect weekend. We started out with “Battlestar Galactica”, and actually won against the Cylons for once. Sweet Victory. Then “Jungle Speed”, a game where you have to remember complicated shares and grab a wooden peg quicker than your friends. Great fun, lots of injury potential. Later, when the friends were gone, I watched a movie and played with my cats. They always feel neglected after a day full of people who don’t care about them all that much. Afterwards, hot bath, audio book, chocolate. The perfect end for a very good day indeed.

If I could change only one thing

English: Image "The Invisible World"...

Image via Wikipedia

I would get rid of spiders. I know, I know, they’re part of the ecosystems, and they eat bugs that would otherwise fill our apartments, but seriously? They’re just too icky. I don’t mind them outside, so maybe I wouldn’t just wish them away, but make them keep a distance of 5 meters of humans at all times. There could be some kind of invisible forcefield that keeps them away. Maybe they also could be invisible to human eyes, expect in nature documentaries, because those are fascinating.
